And she’s ready to step on the world stage and show off all of her hard work.
The mother of two, who at one time weighed more than 200 pounds, is now competing in Las Vegas in the Amateur Olympia Athlete competition Tuesday. The competition takes place a few days before the world-renowned Mr. Olympia competition.
“I’m on cloud nine,” Cormier told The Nugget this weekend.
“I’ve done 25 competitions, but I want to get my pro card. I want to be a pro. I feel like a pro, because I’ve done so many competitions, but it’s like everything else you show up to an event and only one person can win,” she said, adding this event awards three pro cards.
Cormier was asked what are the benefits to obtaining a pro card in the fitness performance world of competition?

“It’s a goal, it keeps me motivated and it keeps me on my game. It keeps my dream alive, gives me purpose and shows my clients anything is possible.”
Cormier said her background and lifestyle is different than that of her competitors.
“I’m just a small town girl. I have two kids and a stupid hectic schedule. Anyone can do it if they set their mind to it,” she said.
The road to get on stage, even on the amateur level isn’t an easy one.
